Looks better on the exterior than I expected. (Still has the Equinox grille) The stance rocks. The squared off tailgate will grow on me.
The second to last pic looks like an Escape!
But the interior looks like they ripped it right out of the Expedition!!!

It seems....smaller? More...narrow? Maybe 'cause the seats are larger, or the console is bigger?
There is less room/space for dash mods/adds, I think....
The center console pad is very high, I like that, I have a folded towel on mine...
I really like the rear wing over the lift gate...no more dust collections!
I like the front seat headrests, looks like helmets from Star Wars!
I like how the hood/grille/bumper is seamless, very groovy!
I don't like the door speakers, it went to the OBS position!
Well, the 2006- parts will surely be cheaper now!

Yep, I LOVE the interior!!! But the exterior is just so,so........a lot of this may have to do with the color..........I'd like to see it in Black, and I can't wait to see the Z71 package!!

Assembly plant in Arlington, Texas.. hmmm.....

Quiet interior through extensive use of noise-reducing materials, spray-in damping, foam and seals..yummy.
Gen IV small-block V-8 is standard in all models, with displacements ranging from 4.8L to 6.2L, and horsepower ranging from 290 (216 kw) to 400 (298 kw).* 400HP? Daaamn, with no blower!

Hmm, I think it looks OK. I don't like the way the 2nd row seats fold up, seems like they take up too much space.
I can't wait till the Z71 model is released. One thing I don't like, looks like the 2nd row windows still don't roll down all the way. Why can't they just use 2 pieces of glass and have a somewhat smaller/skinnier window that rolls down?
No real tailgate either. I was hoping they would bring back some of the cool features of the OBS!!!

Try these from gm-trucks.comThey are much larger if you go to the second set. Also, these are all of the LTZ... So I wonder how much more bland the base model will be!

Wow, the first thing I look at is the dash..how hard is it going to be to swap it with a denali or escalade parts? Wow...
Even though the ad says so, I don't know how you're getting 22's in there...
Good luck spending 40 bucks on clear corners on that thing!
I know people that USE the tahoe/suburban for work.. I can't imagine this vehicle with ranch bumpers..
sigh...they need a 'contractor' grade..
I do like the third row split bench..easier to remove/replace!
So.......WHO'S GOING TO GET ONE???

I think it looks alot better than what I expected from the spy photos. I think the head/tail lights make it look kind of like the current escalade. I think the overall style will eventually grow on me but I do like it in general.

It's okay. I am sure it will grow on me just like the new Silverado's did. I am happy with what I have.

It's OK! Not great, but shows a lot of promise. However, the exterior looks like a 4Runner from the back. Also, where's the information on the mpg's that the DOD will provide?
Definatley need to see it in other colors and from different angles.
One thing that bites is that GM skipped the diesel option for the HD Sub. I know that it is a personal desire to want a diesel, but I was really hoping for the option. @#*& Without a diesel option, and without the new mpg numbers on the selection of engines - it's hard to justify buying another one if it neglects to provide a technological leap in petrol consumption. I can only imagine what the new 6.2L, 400HP engine will consume.
The 2007 Tahoe is coming to Dallas with the Texas State Fair – I’ll take some pictures of it and post them up ASAP

Again... The pics are of the LTZ... Obviously the LS and LT will not have all the "luxury" appointments that the LTZ has. We'll see what the workmans version looks like soon, I'm sure.

I like it, you can tell they are trying to make it a better quality vehicle. Tighter fitting panels inside and out. This thing hardly has any gaps compared to the current design. I think it will do very well for GM. They got a winner IMO.

You know, you're right. Looking at the dash, at first glance, I wouldn't be able to tell you right away how to dis-assemble it, very seamless, as the front end is... grooovy!

over all, its aight. my only dislike, is the headlights... i think that the split lights really stood out and distingues a chevy/ gmc over everything else... imo

Trailblazer or CTS styled front end mates with a Sequoia A-Pilar back and, presto, new Hoe...
Why, for the love of God, are the second row seats designed that way. Used to be able to put a Q-sized airmatress in the back and sleep comfortably when not pitching a tent (although the headrests are a PITA). Now??? More like a grocery hauler and fwy cruiser than an off-road capable SUV.
May be very marketable, but I think they may lose some of their "base" of customers who want a little more than another minivan/sedan on 'roids.
Am I off base on this one? Be honest!
Matt

I totally agree about the 2nd row seats. I still get mad about that when I think about it. The way they are designed now, they lay nice and flat and you have a solid 4' x 6' bed in the back. No way you can fit that double air mattress in the back now. The new design turns the Tahoe into a mini van IMHO!!! Are they trying to compete with a Honda Odysse?

Looks too futuristic to me. I thought full-size SUV's were supposed to be like trucks not like something you take the kids to school in. What's wrong with having both? Keep the rugged look, but add a few nice features! They didn't have to make it look like an expedition or explorer. Are they really going to gain that many buyers?

Well, they're coming out soon, so what does that mean?
Will they be the NewerNew Body Style?
Will the NBS become OBS, and the OBS become REALLLLLYOBS?
Confusing....

I will with hold judgement until I see the Z71 version. If they get serious and develop a serious offroad package with front and rear lockers, upgraded suspension - preferrably with height adjustment, etc., I will be a happy.

I do like the updated interior...but I really hope that the seats will remain as roomy and comfy as they are now...I LOVE the big roomy chairs, and wouldn't be happy if they were replaced by those narrower seats.
I really do not care for the exterior, tho...it looks to much like many others out there, to "plush" to soft...for lack of better words.
