I have an 02 sub with kn intake and bb tune flow master exhaust is the cam worth the upgrade and difference ??

Depends on the cam.
Is it worth it? In short yes.
I've thought about a cam before and its still a possibility. When going with a cam at the least you have to change out your valve springs and push rods. LS6 springs and 7.4 rods are most common for a cam upgrade in a 5.3L. Most people also go with a TR220 cam. Gains are good for low/mid range power and you have all the main supporting mods. You will have to get a BB retune for sure. Mods you'll want to think about when doing a cam are vette servo and the super saver 4th servo and a new torque converter. The 4L60 tranny is good upto about 380hp. Anything more you might want to keep an eye on everything.
Doing a TR220 cam and a BB tune will put a big smile on your face though.
