I like the ranchand with the bullnose but i need some more advice? Pictures would be great. I think that a grille guard would not look that good with a 6 inch lift
StevenAquino
got any pics of your truck and maybe some of the bumpers your looking at?
blacktexasZ
I would go with the normal grill guard by RH - not the Bull Nose. I got backed into the other night and no damage. Plus i love how it looks.

See, I think the Ranch Hand is a good Grille Guard. Couple of questions about it though. Is there mounting holes for lights for it? The really big question, is there a way or spot a winch can still be mounted? It does look good on your Silverado. I am curious about your last picture, are you stuck? wink.gif

I have not figured out how to upload pictures. I could use some help

Haha, first of all, yes stuck and scared. Just to the right in this picture is a pond, and I am in a low water crossing. If you look right by the drivers door there are fresh pine shavings from my door bumping into a pine knoll? thing and having to chain saw it to get out lol. Took another z71 and tractor to get me out.

Anyway, the guard... you can buy little C clamp type things from RH that go around the tubes to hold the lights. I am sure you could easily drill holes though..

As far as a winch, I would probably think you would need a front receiver and just stick it in there.

Well from the picture a front receiver might not be an option because the bottom portion of the grill guard looks like it might get in the way of a front receiver.

Also don't you have to drill holes in the bumper for that grill guard or is that another one I am thinking about?
blacktexasZ
Yeah, you do drill two holes in the front chrome part of the bumper - you can see the bolt in the pics.

It sure is stout though, so I had no problem doing that.

Here is the RH Bullnose on a Tahoe

The Tough Country Apache bumper looks better in my opinion. Ranch Hand is just one of the dozens of companies that make bumpers this style with the diamond plate.

I personally think it looks out of place, and I would stick with the normal brush guard, but it's your truck so just make sure you like it

Here is a bumper I did for a customer in Eastern OK. I can build them any style you want, I just will not copy another companies bumper design. Mild to wild, I can build it. Soon I will offer a line of matching front and rear bumpers, along with matching nerf rails (aka rock sliders).

Kerr,

If you like that style bumper, I could crank one out and have it powder coated in two days.

My fiancee's cousin works at Tough Country in TX. If there is enough interest, we may be able to get a group buy. I really like the Apache w/ the Euro bar...
