For everyone's info...the AC Delco Platinum plugs have been replaced by AC Delco Iridium spark plugs (Stock-OEM)

TSB Bulletin No.: 03-06-04-060B

Changed the spark plug gap to 0.040" instead of 0.060"

The new part # is: 12571164, AC Delco # 41-985.

Disregard the info on gapping on the side of the AC Delco box.

Applicable to these models:

2000-2004 Chevy Suburban/Tahoe
1999-2004 Chevy Silverado
2002-2004 Chevy Avalanche
1999-2004 GMC Sierra
2000-2004 GMC Yukon, Yukon XL
2001-2004 GMC Denali, Denali XL
2003-2004 Hummer H2
...(and more)

with 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, or 6.0L V8 engines...(Vin code V, P, T, Z, G, S, N, U)

Why do these updates stop at 2004? I would think it would be the same through current model years.

Just saw this post. I believe the date of that particular TSB is 2004. I think the manuals may state the new numbers. Not sure though. I had to copy that by hand so I'm not exactly sure how old it was when I did it.

FYI - Just bought 8 new plugs from Autozone - their system listed AC Delco 41-110 as the plugs for mine (03 suburban 5.3L flex). The "alternate part number" was listed as 41-985. The box I have is 41-110. Don't know why it has to be so confusing, but if anyone is buying plugs in the future the 41-985 listed in a post above is 41-110 at some of the retail outlets.
