It's been a while since I was on this forum. My son owns a 2014 Z71 with a 5.3.
He is going to be pulling a small camper (4500 lbs) at various times over the summer. (I noticed it still goes into 4 cyl mode even when in trailer towing mode)

I have a few questions:

1.) Should he disable the AFM while pulling the trailer?

2.) Should he disable the AFM all the time?

3.) What is the best product for disabling the AFM?

The truck is still under warranty.

thanks

I have towed with AFM intact and never had an issue. You can disable it, but you will lose fuel mileage.
