I never bothered with one, but I seem to recall back in the day, there was a product called Cubby cam or something like that was specifically made to fit the dash cubby in the NBS models. Not sure if they are still around, but from what I saw, that was pretty slick back in the day. I'm sure there are better options now.

so cubby cam would've worked perfectly, except in the cubby, i have my traction control button dry.gif

Yes in the later years that button definitely interferred. I do however think there are better options out there now.

I haven't been able to find anything that's good to say the least. most of the stuff I seen seems to be cheaply made yet its pricey blink.gif

Just spit balllin... seems like a Bluetooth camera to phone would be perfect, don't know if such an item is on the market.

In my suburban I either parked in huge open areas or backed up slow.

With Pretentious aka The Escalade the camera is nice but I still have to check the mirrors as the camera don't cover the corners as I back into the garage.

Pretentious Black 14 Escalade, like those 6.2 Liters!

Black 05 Z71 Burb 3.42s Sold 10/2016
Magnaflow Corsa Sport Catback, 50W fogs - Sylv 885, US Flag Bowtie
Bilsteins, Escalade 18s
20% Tint
Tuned by Justin - two thumbs up!

2002 Red Tahoe - nice truck but a bit too short. Sold to a friend in 2005.

There is one, last time I checked it was close to $500.
Pearl Rear Vision Camera.

I just did a search on Amazon for "Backup Camera" and "Wireless Backup Camera" and there's a ton of options. The camera itself seems easy enough, but I think the trick would be to figure out what monitor works best, and whether you would use it enough to justify a permanent mount? I do see a few that use a replacement rear view mirror, which might be the most elegant looking option.

Personally, the most elegant looking is going to be something that looks stock. In dash (replacing the radio) or the in mirror style. Unless, you are into custom work.

Mito Corp/Gentex makes the rearview mirror display. You could get those online for $150-$200. Then you can get any camera and just wire it in. That would be fairly seamless integration. You can get everything direct from Mito.....just depending on how much you want to spend.

Are you looking for a dedicated camera and monitor or will you be connecting to a head unit? If you are still running the factory radio, you could consider upgrading the head unit with a double-din touchscreen to really improve the user experience with phone and media integration.

I installed a Jensen VX7022 in my 04 Suburban with the following backup camera:

Esky EC170-08 Waterproof Night Vision HD CMOS Camera

I also used the same camera in my 06 Silverado with a Kenwood DDX6902. The camera works great.

Check out the sticky post in this section for details on installation location.
