Convert Thermal 4wd Actuator To Later Model Electric

i have a 97 z71 with the thermal fwd actuator for the front....it has a two pin connector....i would like to convert it to a later model electric actuator with a 5 pin connector...i have the actuator and pigtail plug from a later model....has anyone ever done this?...can you school me on the wiring?..thanks in advance

I recall seeing a tutorial on Youtube where someone did that conversion with all the gory details.

The posi-lok is definitely the way to go if you are looking for reliability.

my truck has push button transfer case shift...i was just wondering if i could use an electric actuator on mine
