This has probably been talked about to death but I would like your guys opinions. I'm going to do a Muffler swap this summer and have chosen to go with either the corsa touring, corsa sport, or a borla s-type. If any of you have either of these mufflers please give me your feed back. My main concern is interior drone. I don't mind a little bit but don't want a lot like a flowmaster has. Thanks in advance

I think I'm leaning towards the corsa sport. So if anyone is running it on their rig, how is this for daily driving. I have little ones so I hope it's not to loud for when they are in the rig with me

The sport is the loudest and will exhibit some drone in the 1700 rpm range. I have the Magnaflow full catback, and they all to some degree have it, but the louder the system, the more they tend to drone. I have however found that it seems to me at least, that when you add a Cold Air Intake, somehow it tends to mask the drone a bit with it's own intake sound, and makes it more pleasant to deal with. If you absolutely want to reduce the drone, go with the touring.

Ive had the Corsa DB system on my silverado and it sounds great, but like scott said it drones a little around 1700 RPM. When I had the same system on my old F-150 I never had any drone at all, so I think it depends on the engine and sound deadening in the vehicle. On my Tahoe I currently run the Gibson exhaust and have no drone at all.

I would be in line to tell you to buy the corsa sport. I finally purchased mine i believe in 2015 and loved every second I had it. I had a no name knock off Flowmaster 40 series clone on it for awhile, droned awful towards the end of its life, replaced it with a 50 series SUV and it got a lot better, but I wished I would have just sprung for the corsa right out of the gate. Ill attach some clips of the 50 series (which did have some cabin drone but was probably 1/2 the cost of the Corsa) and the Corsa that I found to have little to no drone in my Tahoe, but you could still here that thing roar when you romped it! Since the tahoe was in a crash, I am considering putting the Corsa muffler on the 8.1l burb I have and see how it will do.... Still have the entire kit.

Corsa 1 - http://vid262.photobucket.com/albums/ii106...zps8a62a073.mp4

Corsa 2 - http://vid262.photobucket.com/albums/ii106...zpseba0676b.mp4

I only wish I had a better microphone so you could really hear it. I will only be putting Corsa on things I drive on the road from now on.

Yeah, drone is such a subjective thing that nobody classifies it the same. Two different people can drive in the same car, and describe it totally different. Best thing is to try to find someone in your area with the exhaust if possible.

FWIW I've run the Corsa Sport on my '02 since August 2008 and have never had any trouble with it.
If it has drone I don't notice it, but then maybe I'm just used to it.
I still love the way it sounds when I step on the pedal!

Thanks for the feed back guys. From the videos that 96superflow and others that I've watched I love this the corsa sounds. Everyone up here in maine seem to run flowmaster. Which I like the sound but I don't wanna blend in with everyone else. I only worried about drone because of the wife and kids but from multiple reviews there is little to none so I'm sold on the corsa sport.

That sounds mean!!! That's gonna be too much for the wife and kids unfortunately. I would love to have a corsa but ive got other plans at the moment. So I guess plan b is a muffler swap. I'm either going with the cherrybomb extreme or vortex. I've run both on the 90's styles ive had and loved both. Any of you have either on your rigs? Like some input on how they sound with the 5.3. I've watched alot of videos but there ain't a lot of tahoe running either muffler

That's what I love the most about the corsa. No drone and with "normal" driving its not loud. Its just hard to justify the money a corsa cost. I leave for work at 3-4 in the morning and don't wanna disturb the family and neighbour at that hour.
